"The brief outage was the result of a technical glitch on our part and has now been resolved immediately," a Meta company spokesperson said in a message, and now there are no complaints from customers.
All reporting news agencies confirmed that the outage affected personal chats as well as group chats.
Down Detector, a bug detection website, also confirmed that WhatsApp was not working for many users in various regions.

In a statement, a WhatsApp spokesperson said: "We have received reports that some people are temporarily experiencing problems sending messages and we are working quickly to restore WhatsApp for everyone as soon as possible. and will resolve this issue very soon."
During the WhatsApp outage, when users were trying to send messages to each other, Tuan said, only a tick mark remained when the message was sent.
