In America, the biggest winter storm is still going on, and 22 people have already died in accidents related to snowfall.

The worst winter storm has reportedly caused the suspension of electrical service for nearly 5.5 lakh people in the United States, according to reports in the foreign media.

 

Due to an increase in power consumption, blackouts have occurred in a few cities in North Carolina and other states.

Over 6600 flights have been delayed, while 2800 planes have been cancelled across several American states.

At airports in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, and New York, passengers are stranded.

The study states that New York, an American state, has been the most impacted by the snowstorm, with more than 2 feet.

The city of Buffalo has received feet of snowfall. The National Guard has been stationed in Buffalo's Lake Erie County due to the circumstances.

Through the rest of the week, the central and eastern US are set to have further cold weather.

The US Meteorological Department predicts that starting the following week, the country's temperatures will gradually return to normal.

On the other side, warnings for extremely cold weather have been issued across Canada.

The research claims that Ontario and Quebec are home to millions of people without electricity.

At airports in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, hundreds of flights were cancelled. Train service was also impacted.
